Installation from Azure Marketplace

1. Installation

• From the Azure Portal, search for SmartSpace.ai. Choose “SmartSpace.ai – Start your enterprise GenAI journey in minutes”
  

2. Creation:

• Click ‘Create’ to initiate the installation process.

3. Subscription Selection and Resource Group:

• Choose the Azure subscription you created earlier.
• Select a resource group that will act as the parent for the Managed Application (or create a new one). Note: This is only for the Managed Application definition, not for all infrastructure resources.

4. Region Selection:

• Choose from the available Azure regions where you want the application to be deployed.
• Note: SmartSpace by default uses Azure OpenAI but also supports Microsoft Foundry and many other LLM providers. The region you choose for this must be the same as the region you choose for OpenAI
• To set the Azure OpenAI location, generate an up-to-date list by running this command in an Azure terminal session:
  az account list-locations –query “[?metadata.regionType==’Physical’].{Name:name, DisplayName:displayName}” –output table

5. Application Name and Managed Resources Group:

• Assign an Application Name such as “SmartSpace”
• Name the Managed Resources Group (or leave the name as the default provided)

6. Tagging:

• Optionally, attach relevant tags to the deployed resources for easier management and identification.

7. Review and Deployment:

• After reviewing the configurations, click ‘Create’.
• The deployment can take 30 minutes to an hour. Monitor the progress in the Managed Resource Group under “Deployments”.
